REGENTS' GLEN

When Universal Housing Corporation was looking at developing a first-class, luxury community in the York, Pennsylvania area, they knew they needed to have the right team to meet their aggressive schedule. Transportation Resource Group, Inc. (TRG) was brought on board to conduct the development's Traffic Impact Study (TIS) and to lead the roadway design efforts. When completed, Regents' Glen will consist of over 1,000 luxury residential units and an 18-hole golf course. As phasing of the development progressed, roadway improvements were completed including the construction of left turn lanes, roadway realignments, and the installation of a new traffic signal.

TRG was responsible for designing the roadway improvements and coordinating these improvements with other area developments including York College of Pennsylvania, who was undergoing their own expansion project. TRG worked closely with the local municipality and PennDOT to provide the best improvements for the area.

TRG provided the owner with construction inspection services to ensure the roadway and signal contractors were building the improvements to the designed plans and specifications. The main challenge of this project was to make sure that the roadway improvements were coordinated with PennDOT and the other area developments that had their own timing issues for development opening.

Currently the roadway improvements for this project are near completion and should be in place by the summer of 2007.
